From 1989 until 2020 the family business stood for the sound schooling of horses and riders, with breeding always a second pillar that began with the foundation mare Die Wienerin inherited from the family's grandfather. Augustehof is a Hanoverian breeding operation run by Inge and Klaus Kuhn at Rotenkamp near Königslutter am Elm. The stud breeds from the Astflanke mare line, with the state premium mare Auguste as its foundation mare and a broodmare band that includes several premium and champion mares. Horses bred there have gone on to licensed stallion status and to competition up to Grand Prix level, and the stud has sold horses to buyers around the world. Islandpferdegestüt Basselthof is an Icelandic horse stud near Hannover, run by the Grimm family since 1971 and led today by Marlise Grimm. Breeding is the heart of the operation and homebred youngstock is raised on the farm's own pastures. The yard also offers livery, backing and training (Beritt), and keeps a standing string of horses for sale. Riding herds share the grounds with rabbits, dogs and deer, giving the place a relaxed family character. A small shop and a calendar of yard events round out the offering.

Reit- und Zuchthof Wilms

Reit- und Zuchthof Wilms is a breeding and livery farm at Groß Midlum in Hinte, East Frisia, run as Wilms GbR under farm manager Holger Willms. It breeds and sells its own riding and breeding horses. The yard has an indoor school with 24 boxes, open for riding from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., with horses fed twice a day and bedded down each evening. A feeding and mucking-out service is included, and the surrounding countryside gives direct hacking from the yard. Summer grazing runs from early May to late October on around 60 hectares of permanent pasture, with horses grouped by age and sex and checked twice daily.

De fokkerij wordt gerund als een hobbyfokkerij in plaats van een commerciële stal.

Stal Weidelust is een familie-equesterbedrijf in Klein Garnwerd, nabij Winsum in Groningen, gerund door Klaas en Jelly Pestman. Het biedt dressuurlessen aan van beginnersniveau tot Z2, zowel op eigen schoolpaarden en pony's als op de paarden van de ruiters. De stal brengt ook jonge paarden in en traint ze, bereidt paarden voor op stamboekinspecties, fokt jongvee en neemt paarden in pension. Elk jaar worden er vijf tot tien veulens gefokt op de stal.

Arabergestüt Hägerhof is an Arabian stud at Herzberg am Harz run by the Dill family, breeding Arabian horses since 1968 with a particular fondness for black coats. The stud stands its own breeding stallion and keeps a band of broodmares, publishing every foal crop going back two decades. Purebred Arabian breeding stock and ridden Arabians are offered for sale, alongside Quarabs, Quarter Horses, Paints and Connemaras at various ages and stages of training. On request the stud will also take in customer horses for rearing and for training under saddle, with a western riding emphasis.

Blanken Horses is a sales and training yard for dressage and show-jumping horses in Hepstedt, between Bremen and Bremervörde, run by Stefan Blanken. The business schools horses for clients up to medium and advanced level and prepares young horses for competitions and championships. It also prepares stallions and riding horses for licensings and auctions, and holds its own selection date for the Verden auction. The farm has bred horses for four generations and today has a 20x40 m indoor school, 33 boxes, a horse walker, a lunging ring, an outdoor arena and paddocks.

Islandpferdehof Stubbenkamp is a family-run Icelandic horse farm near Hemmoor in the Cuxhaven district, home to around fifty horses since 2010. The yard breeds from its own stallions, rears young horses and takes liveries, and offers riding instruction and horse training. Long trail networks run out from the farm through the fields, woods and meadows of the Osteland. On-site services include a HesturSalt salt chamber and Bemer therapy, and equestrian equipment is sold at the yard.

Hengststation Pape

Hemmoor, Germany

Hengststation Pape in Hemmoor, Lower Saxony, is a many-sided yard built around the breeding, training and sale of quality dressage horses. A farming operation and a band of ten to twelve of its own broodmares form the base, with roughly twenty youngsters a year raised on the farm's own land. A team of seven schools these young horses so that a varied lot of sale horses at different stages is always available, and the competition stable has taken horses from remount to Grand Prix, winning 24 medals at Bundeschampionate and world championships. A second arm of the business is the EU-approved AI stallion station, standing six stallions and shipping semen to breeders.
